An unplanned pregnancy can cause a lot of anxiety. We can help you explore the best way forward.

We can offer you time to explore your situation so you can work out what you want and make informed decisions.

Many people suffer with depression or grief after an abortion. It can really help to talk with someone in a safe space.

Abortion regret: is it real?

Abortion regret

Many of the women contacting the Helpline are wanting support for abortion regret. For some, this is from a very recent abortion. Others have been suffering for years, sometimes even decades.

For most of those calling us, the distress is significantly affecting their mental health, but they haven’t felt able to talk about it with anyone.

Sadly, our society rarely acknowledges the women who suffer after an abortion. A few brave women such as Britney Spears have spoken about this pain: “It’s one of the most agonising things I have ever experienced in my life. But most don’t feel it’s ok to talk about it.

At the Helpline, we offer women a safe place to talk and find support, no matter what their circumstances.

If you’d like to talk through your experience with someone who understands, please get in touch. We’re here for you.
